Why it is on this site
  • Fukuoka has most of the yatai left in Japan, and a guide who can order and translate makes an eight-seat stall far less daunting.
  • You can choose yatai and izakaya, yakiniku, bar-hopping, karaoke, or a gentler stroll with a 30-minute river cruise.
  • Thirty reviews, all five stars, and the site's Fukuoka list uses it for its night-city pick.
Best for

Passengers on a late or overnight call who want to eat and drink where the locals do.

Think twice if

It is an evening outing, so it only works if the ship sails late or stays overnight. What food and drink are included 'depends on the tour', so ask before booking.

Quick answers

Before you book

Is the Fukuoka Evening Tours: Yatai, Izakaya, Karaoke and more worth it from the Fukuoka cruise port?

A private night out in Nakasu and Tenjin with a multilingual guide: yatai stalls, izakaya, bars or karaoke, built to your taste. Best for: Passengers on a late or overnight call who want to eat and drink where the locals do.

How long a port call do I need for this tour?

About 7 hours. The tour runs 3 hr – 4 hr; add half an hour to get off the ship, about 10 minutes each way between the pier and the start and keep the hour before all-aboard free. An evening activity: allow about 30 minutes each way between the ship and Hakata Station (a 500 m walk plus an 18–20 minute bus), and check the all-aboard time first. Yatai open from about 18:00, so it only works on late sailings or overnights.

Can I cancel if my ship skips the port?

The operator's policy: For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

What should I know before booking?

It is an evening outing, so it only works if the ship sails late or stays overnight. What food and drink are included 'depends on the tour', so ask before booking.
