Three things Diamond Princess passengers should know
The Nebuta (early Aug) and Awa Odori sailings schedule late-night port stays — the rare chance to see Japan’s great festivals from a cruise. They sell out first.
Many Diamond Princess Shimizu calls run roughly 13:00–19:00 — skip the distant Mt. Fuji coach and spend the afternoon at the fish market and waterfront instead.
Nearly every roundtrip slips into Korea for a day. The ship berths at Busan’s International Passenger Terminal, 10–15 min on foot from Busan Station and the metro; the sights are 15–40 min away.
