* Usable = time in port minus 2 hours: half an hour to get ashore, all-aboard 30 minutes before departure, and back at the gangway an hour before that. "Be back by" is that gangway time. Schedules change; the port's own list is the reference.

Three things Pacific World passengers should know

Kobe on a Monday

The overnight call runs from 14:00 on Monday 7 December to 09:00 on the 8th, and the Kobe Maritime Museum closes on Mondays, so it is out on this call.

Osanbashi is in the middle of Yokohama

Both Yokohama calls use Osanbashi Pier, between Minato Mirai and the Red Brick warehouses, with Chinatown on foot. The two-night stay from 13 to 15 December leaves one whole day, the 14th, with the ship in port.

Photo note

Our photograph shows the ship as Sun Princess, her earlier name — same hull, new operator.
