Three Chinese-market ships bring Chinese guests to Okinawa from Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong: 117 calls on the port lists from October 2026 to December 2027, 78 of them at Naha.
Three things Adora Mediterranea, Magic City & Flora City passengers should know
Adora ships reach Japan from China, Hong Kong, Korea or Manila, so the first Japanese port of the voyage — usually Naha — is where foreign passengers enter. Every foreign passenger clears a face-to-face immigration inspection, with fingerprints, at the first Japanese port of the cruise. It happens once, not at every port. On a ship of over 5,000 guests the queue can take hours.
Adora Cruises builds its ships and itineraries for Chinese travellers, and its website is in Chinese. Non-Chinese speakers should arrange shore plans before boarding.
Flora City’s Naha calls run from mid-afternoon to 14:00 next day: Kokusai-dori in the evening, Shuri Castle or a beach the next morning.
Questions Adora Mediterranea, Magic City & Flora City passengers ask
Where do Adora Cruises ships call in Japan?
Mostly Okinawa. From October 2026 to December 2027 the port lists show 117 calls: Naha 78, Ishigaki 17, Miyakojima 12, plus Nagasaki, Sasebo and Hakata on Adora Mediterranea. Magic City sails from Shanghai, Flora City from Guangzhou and Hong Kong, and Mediterranea from several Chinese ports and Manila.
Do I clear Japanese immigration on an Adora cruise?
Yes, once, at the first Japanese port. The ships arrive from China, Hong Kong, Korea or Manila, so foreign passengers have a face-to-face inspection with fingerprints when the ship first arrives in Japan, usually at Naha.
