Royal Caribbean’s China ship: short cruises from Shanghai and Hong Kong, nearly all built around Okinawa and Kyushu. Naha alone has 41 Spectrum calls booked from October 2026 to December 2027.
Three things Spectrum of the Seas passengers should know
Every Spectrum sailing begins abroad, so the first Japanese port (usually Naha, or Kagoshima or Nagasaki on the Kyushu loops) means a face-to-face inspection for every foreign guest. On a Naha day that arrives at 11:30, that is a big share of the afternoon.
All 41 booked Naha calls use the 2nd Cruise Berth at Shinko, 5.6 km from Kokusai-dori in a cargo district, with no terminal building until November 2027. Ship shuttle or taxi about 10 min (about ¥1,750).
Hong Kong Okinawa sailings arrive in Naha at 11:30 and leave at 14:00 the next day: an evening in town, then a morning for Shuri or the market.
Naha’s and Ishigaki’s 2027 entries are reservations filed by agents and may not all go ahead; Royal Caribbean’s own itinerary is final.

Naha at the 2nd Cruise Berth, Shinko Wharf No.12 (every booked call); Ishigaki at the cruise berth on the International Wharf; Nagasaki at Matsugae Cruise Terminal; Fukuoka at Chuo Wharf Berth 5; Kagoshima at Marine Port Kagoshima; Sakaiminato at Sakai Yumeminato Terminal; Maizuru at the International Wharf; Niigata at East Port Central Wharf; Hakodate at Minato-cho Wharf, Quay A. In Busan it uses the International Passenger Terminal (MBF-1).
What is Spectrum of the Seas’ Japan itinerary for 2026–27?
From Shanghai to October 2026 (late October brings Sakaiminato 26 Oct, Maizuru 27 Oct, Niigata 28 Oct and Hakodate 29 Oct). From Hong Kong, November 2026 to January 2027: 5-night Okinawa sailings with a Naha overnight, 5-night Okinawa & Ishigaki, 5-night Okinawa & Taipei, and 9-night Kyushu loops (Kagoshima 25 Nov, Nagasaki 26 Nov, Fukuoka 27 Nov, Busan 28 Nov). From February 2027 it is back in Shanghai, with Naha calls through 2027 and Nagasaki on 11 Feb, 24 Feb and 26 Mar.
How long is Spectrum of the Seas in Naha?
On Shanghai sailings usually 12 hours, 07:00–19:00. On Hong Kong sailings it usually arrives at 11:30 and leaves at 20:00–22:00, or stays overnight and leaves at 14:00 the next day (8 Nov and 31 Dec 2026, 21 Jan 2027).
