* Usable = time in port minus 2 hours: half an hour to get ashore, all-aboard 30 minutes before departure, and back at the gangway an hour before that. "Be back by" is that gangway time. Schedules change; the port's own list is the reference.

Three things Mitsui Ocean Sakura passengers should know

Short cruises, standard calls

Most sailings are one to three nights, and the port day is usually 09:00–17:00: six usable hours once you allow for getting ashore and the hour’s margin before all-aboard. Plan a half day, not the mountain.

The themed weeks sell first

A Sapporo Snow Festival cruise from Yokohama (9–15 February 2027) and a Golden Week cruise (28 April–6 May 2027) are the headline 2027 sailings; 61 cruises for January to September 2027 went on sale in July 2026.

Photo note

Our photograph shows the ship as Seabourn Sojourn, her name from 2010 to 2026 — same hull, new owner.
