Spring 2027 from Tokyo: two 14-night Circle Japan loops (28 March and 11 April) and a southern loop on 28 February. The 28 March loop runs the Sea of Japan coast and calls Fushiki–Toyama on 6 April.
Three things Westerdam passengers should know
The 28 March 2027 loop calls neither Shimizu nor Omaezaki. The 11 April loop calls Omaezaki; the 28 February loop calls Shimizu. Read the line-by-line itinerary before you plan a Fuji day.
In 2026 Westerdam docked at Fushiki Manyo Wharf No. 3 on the Takaoka side, about 8 km from the Shinminato berth by the Kaiwomaru. Our Fushiki–Toyama guide plans the day from Fushiki.
With 28-night itineraries, don’t sprint every port — pick your big days and rest between.
Keelung means Jiufen; Shanghai overnight means the Bund at night. Plan the non-Japan days too.
Questions Westerdam passengers ask
What is Westerdam’s 2027 Circle Japan itinerary?
The 28 March 2027 loop leaves Tokyo at 19:00 and calls Osaka (30 March; Kochi’s port list gives Kobe, so check your daily programme), Kochi (31 March), Hiroshima (1 April, until 23:59), Busan (3 April), Sakaiminato (4 April), Tsuruga (5 April), Fushiki–Toyama (6 April, 08:00–18:00), Sakata (7 April), Aomori (8 April, until 21:00) and Hakodate (9 April), returning to Tokyo on 11 April. The 11 April loop runs Omaezaki, Osaka, Kochi, Hakata, Sokcho, Kanazawa, Sakata, Aomori, Otaru and Hakodate, back on 25 April. Times are from Holland America’s own itinerary page, read 8 October 2026, and can change; your daily programme is final.
Where does Westerdam dock in Toyama?
On both 2026 calls (7 April and 6 October) Toyama Prefecture assigned Westerdam to Fushiki Manyo Wharf No. 3, in Takaoka city’s Fushiki district — not the Shinminato berth beside the Kaiwomaru sail-training ship, which the smaller Azamara ship uses. The 2027 allocation is published by the prefecture around late December; until then assume Fushiki.
Does Westerdam visit Shimizu or Omaezaki?
It depends on the sailing. The 28 February 2027 southern loop calls Shimizu; the 11 April 2027 Circle Japan loop calls Omaezaki, further down the Shizuoka coast; the 28 March loop calls neither. They are different ports with different logistics, so verify which is on your line-by-line itinerary before planning a Mt. Fuji day.
