Three things Westerdam passengers should know

Know which Shizuoka port you get

Westerdam’s Circle Japan loops call at Omaezaki, not Shimizu — a different port with different logistics. Check your itinerary line by line before planning a Fuji day.

Long voyages need pacing

With 28-night itineraries, don’t sprint every port — pick your big days and rest between.

The Asia legs are included treasure

Keelung means Jiufen; Shanghai overnight means the Bund at night. Plan the non-Japan days too.

FAQ

Does Westerdam visit Shimizu or Omaezaki?

Both, on different itineraries: the long February and October–November Asia voyages call at Shimizu, while the September–October Circle Japan loops use Omaezaki further down the Shizuoka coast. They are different ports — verify which is on your line-by-line itinerary before planning.
