The price covers the guide only: you pay the taxi driver directly, about 15,000 yen per taxi. Lunch is not included, and you arrange your own insurance. The tour ends at Kagoshima-Chuo Station, not the ship, so you need the shuttle back.

About 6 hours. The tour runs 2 hr 30 min – 3 hr; add half an hour to get off the ship and keep the hour before all-aboard free. The tour ends at Kagoshima-Chuo Station; add the shuttle back to Marine Port, about 30 minutes, with departures every 30-60 minutes.
The operator's policy: For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time. The operator may cancel for bad weather, with a refund.
