The haenyeo, women who free-dive for shellfish into their seventies, are UNESCO-listed. This small-group day pairs their show at Seongsan with the east coast, and keeps the ship’s clock for you.
The haenyeo cooperatives manage their own fishing grounds and seasons, and several villages now hold demonstrations for visitors. Seongsan's is at Umutgae beach below the crater; the times depend on the tide and weather.
