Why Butaman at Roushouki is famous
Roushouki has sold one thing since 1915: a small pork bun in a thin, slightly sweet skin, steamed in stacks by the door. The queue is part of the design. It is the founding shop of Kobe's Chinatown food culture and still sells the item by the piece, ¥120 each. While its old building is rebuilt (until about November 2026) it trades from the shop across Nankinmachi square.

The one the queue agrees on, the one people who live here use instead, and the one nearest your ship. Opening days change; check before you build a day around one.
One product since 1915: a small pork bun steamed in stacks by the door. The rebuilt shop on its original site opens on Wednesday 11 November 2026 (until then it trades from the shop across the square). 10:00–18:30 or until sold out; closes on irregular days posted monthly; quietest on weekdays 10:00–11:00.

Counted from the moment you step off the gangway, about 30 minutes after the ship arrives. The hour before all-aboard is not in this bar; it is already set aside.
about 15 minutes each way is the measured figure for nankinmachi — walk about 15 min from naka pier, about 25 min from port terminal, not the optimistic one. If your ship is late, cut the 30 min in the middle. Never cut the hour at the end.
