The story

Why Aomori Bay Bridge promenade is famous

A cable-stayed bridge over the harbour with a public walkway on it, opened in 1994. It exists on this list for the view back: the bay, the Hakkoda mountains, and the 1964 ferry Hakkoda Maru moored below as a museum, from the era when this was the only way north to Hokkaido.
