A guided day with port pick-up
An 8-hour private tour with a licensed guide and vehicle, listed by the operator as a port pick-up. One of only two Viator listings that name the port; the other is a 7-hour Gokayama day. Gokayama is 70 minutes each way, so say what you want to see when you book.
- This needs 8 hr, so it only fits a long call. On a short one it will cost you the ship, not the view.
- Book it before you sail. There is no tour desk at the pier and walk-up places are not a thing here.
- No single published ride covers this one. Budget for a taxi both ways, or fold it into a guided day.
Why A guided day with port pick-up is famous
No Viator tour in Toyama names the cruise port except this one. It is an 8-hour private day with a licensed guide and a vehicle, which the operator lists as a port pick-up. Local news from the 2026 Diamond Princess call reported passengers leaving the wharf by bus and taxi for Gokayama, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa and the Shinminato market. A private car is the only way to do the far ones and be back with a margin.
