The tancho — the crane on every wedding kimono — guaranteed in any season, in the marshland that saved the species from a final count of ~30 birds. Open 9:00–16:00 from 15 October to 9 April and 9:00–18:00 from 10 April to 14 October; closed 31 Dec–3 Jan.

The story

Why Red-crowned Crane Park is famous

Tancho, the red-crowned crane, stands about 1.5 metres and is among the rarest cranes in the world. This park has kept them since it opened in August 1958. They are in outdoor enclosures year-round, so it works when the marsh does not.
