Why we send people here

Noritake Garden’s grounds are free and 15 minutes on foot from JR Nagoya Station. The Craft Center & Museum is 10:00–17:00, adult ¥500, and closes on Mondays. Plate painting takes reception until 16:00 and costs ¥2,500 for a 12 cm plate; the shop is open 10:00–18:00. It is the one sight you can reach from the Aonami Line terminus without another train.

Where it is

Noritake Garden and your ship

Both pins on one map, so the distance is a fact rather than a feeling.

The arithmetic

Where the 3 hr goes

Counted from the moment you step off the gangway. The hour before all-aboard is not in this bar; it is already set aside.

Back24 minTo the gangway

24 minutes each way is the measured figure for aonami line to nagoya 24 min, then 15 min on foot from jr nagoya station, or the higashiyama line to kamejima, exit 2 and 5 min, not the optimistic one. If your ship is late, cut the 2 hr 12 min in the middle. Never cut the hour at the end.

Each one is a finished day we have walked and timed, with this stop in it. Read the route rather than assembling it yourself.

Pairs well with

What to put beside it

Each of these still lands you back aboard with the hour to spare.
