If you're running late: If the subway confuses you, a taxi from Namba to Tempozan is about 25 minutes and removes the whole problem.

If you're running late: Miss the 5:30 train and you are eating into the 60-minute reserve. If it slips past 6:15, take a taxi from Kyoto to Shin-Osaka and rejoin there.
