Why Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan is famous

Kaiyukan opened in 1990 and was then the largest aquarium in the world. Its structure is one idea: a single central tank holding whale sharks, with a spiral walk that takes you down past it repeatedly. It is fully indoors, which makes it the strongest wet-weather answer in Osaka.
