Why The Sasebo arcade, end to end is famous

The Yonkacho and Sankacho arcades run for about a kilometre, which is claimed as the longest straight covered shopping street in Japan. It is a working high street rather than a tourist one, and it is fully roofed, which makes it the reliable answer when the weather turns.
