    Walk to the Megijima ferry pier

    Prefectural Pier No. 3, beside JR Hotel Clement, about 10 minutes on foot. Boats leave Takamatsu every two hours; take the 10:00. ¥370, 20 minutes

    Megijima — the cave and the lookout

    The island bus to the cave is ¥800 return and is timed to the ferries. Outside festival years most art works close on weekdays

    Ritsurin Garden, the south loop

    Walk 10 minutes to Takamatsu-Chikko, Kotoden about 5 minutes, then a 5-minute walk. On a 09:00–17:00 call that leaves about 40 minutes in the garden
